TAKIP-MATA
The term “Takip” refers to the usual statement people tell sexual harassment victims. Phrases like, “Magtakip ka kasi para hindi ka mabastos” normalized the victim-blaming culture.
On the other hand, the term “Mata” refers to the eye that perceives the woman, be it society or the harassers themselves.
WHO WE ARE
Takip-Mata is a website advocacy campaign initiated by a student of De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde.
With the goal to tackle the underlying stigmas concerning women’s clothing and the misconceptions surrounding sexual harassment.
